19U Registration is OPEN

We are thrilled to announce the launch of 19U Gulls Prep, a premier college prep baseball program developed in partnership between the Sylvan Lake Gulls and the St. Joseph High School Baseball Academy. This elite team is designed to provide athletes with a highly competitive environment, helping them grow as players and prepare for the next level of their baseball journey.

What is the Gulls 19U Prep team?
19U Gulls Prep will play 50-60 games from April to the end of July, taking on top academies from across Western Canada and participating in 6-7 tournaments in Alberta, British Columbia, and Washington, USA. The program offers a fantastic balance of competition, skill development, and exposure, giving players a chance to showcase their talents in a challenging environment.

Home at Gulls Stadium
Our Gulls Prep team will practice and play at the state-of-the-art Gulls Stadium, with approximately 20 home games throughout the season. Indoor practices will be held at the St. Joseph High School Academy Fieldhouse, ensuring year-round training opportunities for players. Additionally, Gulls Prep players will have the chance to affiliate with the Sylvan Lake Gulls during their WCBL season, providing invaluable experience and opportunities for further development.

Coaching Staff
We’re proud to announce a highly experienced and dedicated coaching staff for the Gulls Prep program:

Tryout Information
Tryouts for the 19U Gulls Prep team will take place on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 at the St. Joseph High School Fieldhouse. The tryout fee is $100, and each player is guaranteed at least two sessions to showcase their skills.

Fee: $100 (includes 2 guaranteed sessions)
Eligibility: Open to all players 19 and under (players do not have to attend St. Joseph Academy to be eligible for Gulls Prep).

Season Details & Cost
The cost per player for the 2025 season is $5,000, which includes coaches’ salaries, tournament fees, umpire fees, equipment, and apparel costs. Travel to and from tournaments is not included. Multiple fundraising opportunities will be available throughout the year to help lower costs for players and their families.
